Autism (ASD), Parenting, Cultural Impact, Interventions

My interest revolves around autism-related services. I am interested in discovering the best way to understand families of children with autism and find the best possible way to meet their needs. I am also interested in family involvement, and family empowerment. 

 

I am a PhD Candidate at UCL and my research revolves around autism-related services. I am interested in discovering the best way to understand families of children with autism and find the best possible way to meet their needs. My thesis examines the parents’ and the professionals’ perception of services for ASD children and their families in Saudi Arabia.

 

I completed my undergraduate degree at King Saud University in 2006, majoring in special education.  In 2009 I also attained a Post-Graduate Certificate in special education from Bowling Green University, Ohio, USA and a Masters in Early Intervention. In 2015 I joined SERL and started my PhD.

 

I am a lecturer at Princess Nora University (PNU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabi and I am also a member of the International Society of Early Intervention (ISEI). I have participated in many local and national conferences.
